Why We Care
Tennis often has a stigma of being inaccessible unless you are wealthy. At LoveSetMatch, we want to disrupt the idea that it is a game for only a few. The benefits of tennis and a healthy lifestyle enhance our lives and we hope to share those long term advantages. Many of the children we are teaching have never played tennis! By giving them a positive experience of accessible sports and fitness education, we hope to set them on a path of success.
Who We Are
LoveSetMatch is a 501 (c) (3) Charitable Organization. We started in 2010 as a successful private tennis academy and transformed into a nonprofit community-based organization in 2019, thanks to funding and support from the US Tennis Association (USTA) and the Southern California Tennis Association (SCTA). We are an official USTA Foundation National Junior Tennis & Learning Program (NJTL).

What We Do
Our mission is to train unsupported kids and adults into healthy individuals through affordable tennis and fitness education. We offer game-based tennis and racquet sport education for people, especially kids and youth in Los Angeles, with an ultimate goal of providing free tennis lessons for all. Our programs include morning and evening lessons on weekdays and weekends, a summer program and partnership with LA County sports initiatives such as Parks After Dark.
Our Goals for 2024 and Beyond:

Create a STEM based tennis and fitness curriculum partnering with local public schools to increase class time on court.

Partner with physical education and after-school programs for kids to experience tennis.

Create a pathway for kids in the San Gabriel Valley to learn tennis at all grade levels from Elementary through High School.

Build a strong network of relationships with public schools, coaches, supporters, and sponsors.

Lower the entry point for students to access the benefits of tennis and fitness.

Enhance the local tennis community through events, special clinics, and free community gatherings.
Allocation of Profits
Your generous donations are used for:
- Free and affordable tennis lessons: For those who can afford to play, we offer reasonably priced tennis lessons. 50% of our profits are dedicated to ensuring that our programs remain financially accessible to a wide range of individuals. Profits from each lesson are donated to create free or donation-based tennis classes. We aim to provide free tennis classes to people of all ages, with a special focus on children and young adults. These lessons not only introduce them to the sport of champions but also promote a healthy and active lifestyle and give us an opportunity to mentor and build relationships within our community.
- Community engagement: Donations and services are reinvested in communities in need of support. We host a variety of community events and gatherings. Our initiatives also bring together tennis and fitness enthusiasts, foster social connections, and create a space to share their passion for a healthy lifestyle. Our hope is that these communities will create healthy life long friendships which help promote positive mental health and add to quality of life.
- Facility upkeep: Working with the USTA, our grant funds are used to maintain and improve our local tennis facilities.
- Support for athletes: We offer scholarships to promising young talents who may not have the means to pursue both physical and mental advanced tennis training. We work with sponsors and financial partners to provide opportunities for aspiring athletes to advance their professional tennis careers.
